Every month students from OGMS ALP program go over and help serve lunch at Mission Outreach. The girls help serve while the boys wash dishes. Today they served over 100 people. So proud of what Mission Outreach does in our community and very proud of our students for helping. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
PIE with Books! Book club just celebrated the end of our November book club. The Losers Club by Andrew Clements is a great read!
There will be NO after school tutoring on Tuesday, November 19th, due to bus driver workshop. We will have tutoring Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Mid 2nd 9-weeks Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday night from 4-7. After school tutoring will NOT take place Thursday due to the conferences. We hope to see you Thursday night.

OGMS volleyball girls had a blast at the ASU volleyball game last night. They were announced before the game, gave high fives to the ASU coach and players, helped shag balls, met Howl the mascot, and 4 students were chosen to play the game during a break. It was a great night! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
OGMS Student of the Month assembly for October was this last week. Here are the winning students that were chosen from each homeroom. These students know what it means to meet the RAMS criteria. So proud of each and every one and I hope they display their yard sign with RAM PRIDE! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
The EAST sponsored Trunk or Treat that was scheduled this afternoon at Reynolds has been cancelled due to weather. Hope everyone has a safe weekend.
Paragould School District will NOT be in session tomorrow. This will be our mini fall break. Hope you all have a great 3 day weekend. We hope to see all the students back here on Monday. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
Quick reminder about the Monster Mash. Dance starts at 6 and ends at 8. ALL Students get dropped off behind gym. Parents are not allowed inside unless they have prior approval to help chaperone. You must have a pink car tag to pick up students. 5th grade will be picked up in the front while 6th grade will be picked up in the back of gym. All of this is for safety reasons. Have a great night!

Oak Grove Middle School will NOT have After School Tutoring on October 24th or October 31st. Monster Mash BAM event is on the 24th from 6-8. Please follow guidelines on drop off and pick up. These are being sent home today with students that are eligible to attend the dance. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
OGMS students that were on Principals List or Honor Roll got an extra treat this afternoon. “Hot Dog, You are on a roll” festivities took place this afternoon for the 279 OGMS students that received these awards. They got a snack and some extra outdoor time. So proud of all our students. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
Great day of celebrating major accomplishments at OGMS today. Students that received Perfect Attendance were treated to Pancakes with Principals and Pace. We had over 170 students that got to eat due to not missing any days the first 9 weeks. Way to go OGMS students.
Red Ribbon Week at OGMS. Today was hat day with special presentation on diversity. The focus was to accept people, be nice and make friends. We were treated with some special dancing students. These students have Marshallese roots and showed us some dance moves from their culture. They were wonderful and our kids loved watching them. Paragould school district is made up of 19 Native languages and OGMS has 11 of them on our campus. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS! Tuesday is camo day!
Today at OGMS we rewarded all our Accelerated Readers. We are so proud of all their reading accomplishments and look forward to seeing how many books and words they read this year. Special thanks to Officer Pace, Mr Matt and Mrs Kathy Cook for helping out. Snow cones for Readers!!

Way to go Mark Passmore Jr (Buster)! Mark is a 5th grader at OGMS and recently won all these ribbons at the Arkansas State Fair! His pumpkin weighed almost 500 pounds! Way to go!! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!!
