The federal Emergency Broadband Benefit program will provide up to $50 per month for broadband services for eligible households and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop, or tablet. The program launched yesterday. All households with K-12 grade PSD students are eligible through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision. Households can enroll through an approved provider or by visiting https://getemergencybroadband.org/. Questions should be directed to your internet service provider.

The PJHS semester test schedule and policies are posted in the bulletin board area of the school website. All on-site students will be given an exam form to let them know if they are exempt from certain class exams. Virtual students will communicate with their teachers online.

Tonight's Athletic Awards Ceremony is being rescheduled for Friday, May 14 at 5:00pm with Winter Sports going first.
Tennis tryouts will be Thursday, May 20, from 4-6pm. Students entering grades 9-12 are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Giles.

The opening day of the Paragould Farmer's Market is this Saturday, May 8th on the 100 block of W. Emerson St.

4th nine weeks Interim Report Cards will be distributed during 1st period to students this morning. Interim grades will be mailed to virtual learners. You may also check Home Access Center (HAC) for updated grades and attendance!

REMINDER: All 7th/8th grade band students. Virtual Spring Concerts are tomorrow, Thursday, April 29th. 7th grade wear pride t-shirt, jeans, tennis shoes. 8th grade wear 'Sunday Best' attire. 8th records @ 12:30pm, 7th records @ 1:30pm.

Congratulations to the PJHS Quiz Bowl Team. They are state champions!


Congratulations to Paragould Junior High Counselor Samantha Tilley, who has been selected as the Overall Arkansas School Counselor of the Year. She is in the running for the National School Counselor of the Year and I will be traveling to Washington, D.C. for a ceremony some time next summer (if COVID allows). She will also be attending the American School Counselor Association National Convention as the Arkansas representative for School Counselor of the Year.

Congratulations to Reece Fulkerson and Brianna Palmer, winners of the 8th grade resume writing contest!! The students were given the task of writing a resume for a fictional character. The winners are pictured with Career Coach Francesca Shearer.


Congrats to PJHS counselor, Samantha Tilley. She has been selected as the Overall Arkansas School Counselor of the Year, and will now be in the running for the National School Counselor of the Year. We are very thankful for all that Mrs. Tilley does for our students!

Congrats to Jo Beth Mitchell and Hannah Vowell . They were named All-Stars at Quiz Bowl regionals and state this year. Jo Beth placed 6th in the state individually in the Quiz Bowl All-Stars Tournament Saturday.
