We'd like to brag just a bit....
OGMS was recognized by the Office of Educational Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas for our growth in Language Arts for the 2020-2021 school year. Each year, the OEP looks at ACT Aspire growth scores and awards schools who they feel have made the most impact and growth.
From their congratulatory letter to our principal, Mr. Dial:
"We think growth is the best indicator of the positive impact that your school is having on students....Awards are based on the 2021 content growth score calculated by the Arkansas Department of Education. These growth scores reflect how much students at the school improved from 2019 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement. "
We know our students and staff work hard each year, but it certainly is nice to be recognized, once again, for high achievement from our students and staff!
